Event Description
Welcome to the coolest adventure of the year – Frozen: H3 presented by Fleet Feet & Billy Simons Real Estate! Same course---new management under Palmetto Ultras.
It’s like the Hell Hole Hundred, but without the scorching heat and humidity. Picture yourself conquering the same challenging course, but with a frosty twist. Don’t be fooled; this isn’t your average run.
This course has three unique sections. The first leg is pretty open and there's room to pass other runners. It's also not very technical. Sure there are some roots and rocks but nothing too gnarly. Then, once you hit the first aid station, you're off onto dirt roads for a chance to pick up the pace. The final stretch gets a tad technical, yet still super runnable.
Depending on your chosen distance, you’ll be looping through 16ish to 18ish miles of fun! As a runner, you’ll love the convenience of being close to the start/finish line, where your gear and food are always close by. No need to lug everything with you. You can drop your gear/essentials near the start/finish line so you can access it between loops or have your own personal aid station at your car or tent.
Feeling the need for some extra motivation? Pacers can join you once you’re halfway through your loops, but remember, they must sign a waiver to join in on the fun.
All runners must check in at the aid stations. If no one’s around, take the reins and check yourself in.
One of our sponsors, BeesKnees, will be on site in the afternoon (exact times TBD) for any taping/stretching/massaging needs you may have
SWAG announcement coming at a later date---if you were there in 2024 you know it's going to be awesome!
Location
These are the coordinates for the start/finish line....there really isn't an address: 33.200976, -79.767657
DO NOT put the address in Apple Maps---it will not take you to the correct location
GOOGLE MAPS does take you to the race start/finish line
There is a sign across the street from the turn to the race that says "Jericho Horse Trail"
There is also a sign across the street from that sign for the race
Start Times
All races start at 730am EST on Saturday, January 11th EXCEPT for the Night 50k which will start at 6pm on January 11th AND NEW for 2025---the 100 mile race will start Friday NIGHT at 7pm. This gives our 100 milers priority to set up camp and snag the closest parking spots. We moved the start time from 7am to 730am for 2025 based on feedback from ya'll----there's no need to make you carry a headlamp for just a few minutes before the sun comes up

Cancellation/Refund/BibTransfer Policy
The race will take place rain or shine. If for any reason the event has to be shut down due to extreme weather, natural disaster or zombies on the course (other than the runners…), you will be pulled from the course or held at an aid station until you can be removed from the course. Please, no arguing if this should happen. It is for your own safety
There are no refunds. I know this is frustrating but we have to plan and budget for each race. See bib transfer policy below
If you would like to change your distance you can do that here on ultrasignup before the race or the day of but you must do so before you cross the start line. There will be no distance changes after that point
If you can't make the event for whatever reason you do have the option to transfer your bib to another runner
Pregnancy & Postpartum Deferral: We love our mother runners and we get it---family comes first! If you find out your pregnant and don't feel comfortable running the race anymore or your post partum return to running timeline means the race is no longer feasible for you, we offer a 1 year deferral so you can come back and crush it when you're ready! You also have the option of transferring your bib to another runner right here on ultrasignup.
The Trail and Use of the FMNF
The Trail
All events take place within the Hell Hole Swamp located in the heart of the Francis Marion National Forest located outside Charleston, South Carolina.
The trail we run on is called the Jericho Horse Trail, it’s a 16.3 mile loop through the forest consisting of dirt fire roads, single track trail and double track trail. It is a flat trail that is unforgiving. Past participants found it difficult due to the fact that there are zero hills, little elevation change and when they were on the course, they didn't know when to walk.
Refund Policy:
Under no circumstance will refunds be issued, registrations be transferred to another person or transferred to a later date.
