The Lionshead Ruck will have a 13.1mile, a 10k, and a 5K distance option. All distances will start at the Staunton State Park Upper Parking Lot/Dines Creek trailhead in Staunton State Park and loop up the mountain before cutting off to Mason Creek Trail and ending back at the Dines Creek trailhead.
There will be plenty of "AHA" moments along the trails as you traverse through the scrub oak. Men will be racing with 30lbs and women will be racing with 20lbs.
$5 of each ticket purchased will be donated to VOAG (Veteran Outdoor Advocacy Group). For more information on this non profit please visit: VOAG.org
The Lionshead Ruck will be a blend of strength, endurance, grit, please bring a warrior mentality and prepare to get uncomfortable together!!
- Rucksacks can be rented from us for $25 by selecting “rent a ruck” at checkout, OR you can bring your own. Weight vests, backpacking packs, etc are able to be used but will be weighed prior to the race.

Check-in/starting line will be at the Staunton State Park- Upper Parking Lot (simply type this in to google maps) on race day:
Saturday November 11, 7am-7:45am. Make sure you come plenty early if you are bringing your own ruck or pack to be weighed.
