Race Course Details
This Jumla Rara Ultra Marathon is one of the famous Ultra-Marathon in Nepal. This race will take place in Jumla, which is located in the far western region of Nepal. Its remoteness from the busy life of the city, really makes it a place to relax and enjoy exquisite nature. Jumla district has a history of people using traditional plants for medicine. This region is full of herbs, and one of the most famous herbs around the world, Silajith, can be found here as well. Research has shown there are upto 109 different species of Ethnomedicine in these areas.
The race will be held on 13 April 2023. The race starts from Jumla bazaar (2305m) and finishes at the Rara lake (2990m). The course measures 49 km, and although it is uphill and downhill, the trail is really enjoyable. There are three steep uphill and downhill Danphe (3500m), Kavra cave, Bhulbhule (2950m), and Chuchemara (4017m).
Travel Information
When Traveling to Nepal, you will enter the country at Tribhuvan International Airport with the airport code KTM.
