Join us for a Free Trail Race at Valley Falls State Park in on Saturday August 23rd, 2025!

This is a FREE race - we'll provide food and drinks (Tailwind/Gatorade) - but bring some of your own fuel as well. The aid station is under a large park shelter right next to the parking area so you can use your car as your own personal aid station!
Race Shirts are available for purchase for $25. The last day to reserve a shirt is 7/30/25.
WHEN: August 23rd at 7:30AM for all races except the 50 Miler which will start at 7AM. The cutoff for the 50 Miler is finishing the 50k by 2PM. The cutoff for the 50k is 20 miles by 2PM. There will be additional cutoffs TBD for the 50k and 50 Miler on the next to last visit to the aid station to ensure no runner is still on the course after 7PM.
COURSE: The run is a moderately difficult 10 mile figure 8 loop with a single aid station in the middle directly adjacent to the parking lot. (see link to loop on Strava - https://www.strava.com/routes/3127321718973675108) and course map in the photos above. This course is at beautiful Valley Falls State Park just east of Fairmont, WV. Elevation gain is approximately 175 ft per mile. This race is free, but the tradition is to bring your own food to contribute to the aid station or to eat yourself. The course will be marked.
FINISHERS: We have some free giveaways for finishers (car stickers and fun homemade medals)!
WVMTR: Joining WVMTR (West Virginia Mountain Trail Runners) is not necessary to participate in this event, but we encourage you to support our events by becoming members. CAMPING: There is no camping at Valley Falls State Park but there is at nearby Coopers Rock and Tygart Lake State Park
