WHO WE ARE

Trail Ranch is a private 792 acre adventure and agriculture tourism destination in Beckwourth, CA. Located on the western edge of Sierra Valley, the landscape is unique and stunning, encompassing multiple ecosystems traversed by
amazing new trails.

This is our inaugural event! Be the first to tread brand new, custom, narrow-track running trails in the beautiful eastern Sierra Nevada. The course will feature some out-and-back on Cubby trail and a full loop of Momma Bear trail with killer vistas, deep woody shadows, volcanic exposures, probably a few deer, and perhaps even momma and the cubs. The running is pristine, some easy climbing, and vistas galore.

Racer's meeting 7:45am, start 8:00am

Race fee is $45

Trail Ranch is located at 4705 Beckwourth-Calpine Rd., Beckwourth, CA 96129.
The gate will open at 6:30am and close around 1:00pm on race day.
Follow signs to the start/finish for parking.

The course covers two newly constructed foot-only trails - Momma Bear and Cubby. These were named during construction this summer, as momma and her two cubs were frequent visitors. Each unique ecosystem on Trail Ranch is purposefully connected via these trails. There will be a combination of some out-and-back plus a full loop, adding up to about 8 miles and 600+ feet of climbing. The trails are mostly packed dirt, close to level, winding and mysterious, and just plain awesome. The grades are tempered by numerous turns and switchbacks, and generally as fast as you need.

The event will be timed, +18yo only, M/F.
This is a no-cups event. Please bring a water bottle.
Water will be available at the start and at least one station on the course.
Snacks and other refreshments will be at the finish.

Dress for a cold start and seasonal transition weather. Sierra Valley is notorious for brisk, but gorgeous, mornings. We'll be running in all weather, but wildfire or extreme weather may require a change.

You will find us on the western edge of Sierra Valley, CA, tucked away below Beckwourth Peak.

- Just 10 mins east of Portola
- An hour from Reno
- About 45 mins to Truckee

All easy and relaxing driving, no traffic lights.
