Dear Trail and Ultra Runners,

Get ready to lace up your shoes and hit the trails because we are thrilled to invite you to an exhilarating running event on Friday, June 6, 2025! Join us at the stunning Richard Bong State Recreation Area for a day and night filled with adventure, camaraderie, and unforgettable memories.

Whether you’re a seasoned ultra marathoner or a passionate trail runner looking to push your limits, this event is designed for all skill levels. Discover the breathtaking landscapes of Richard Bong and Vern Wolf Lake, featuring rolling hills, scenic vistas, and nature’s best offerings along our meticulously marked courses.

**Event Highlights:**

- **Multiple Race Distances:** From the challenging Backyard Ultra to shorter Backyard 24, choose the distance that fits your goals. Even if you don't think you can go 24, you are welcome to push yourself to go as far as you want to.
- **Stunning Scenery:** Experience the natural beauty of the recreation area while getting in touch with nature.
- **Post-Race Celebration:** Enjoy food, drinks, and community as we celebrate your achievements together.
- **Prizes:** Those who aren't able to finish will receive a specially made coin. Those who finish the Backyard 24 will receive a specially made medal. If there is an overall Backyard Ultra winner, they will receive a special prize package to be announced soon.

State Park Fee

Those coming to race or support the racers will need to make sure they have a 2025 Wisconsin State Park pass for their vehicle. Those who don't have one can purchase a pass for the day(s) of the race at the entry to the park.
