24 Hours at Lake Z
We are so excited to host the first timed event at Lake Z in Dahlonega!
This trail is a favorite of ours and locals. Known for it's rocky and rooty sections, steep climbs and descents, with a few runnable sections, it has a little bit of everything.
Aid Station Info
We will have one fully-stocked aid station with all of the usual ultra fanfare plus some upgrades that folks have come to expect at Dumass Events races. Will there be sliders at 3am? Probably. Vegan smoothies at high noon? Sure. A full pancake breakfast at sunrise? Absolutely.
Course Description
The course is a 4.545 mile lollipop consisting of steep climbs and descents, runnable ridge lines, and a few water crossings. With ~800 feet of climbing per loop, it should be easy to get 100 miles in 24 hours, right??
Event Location
The start/finish line will be at the pavilion on the Hwy 52 side of the trail. The start/finish of the race is *not* vehicle accessible. Your loading and unloading location will be at Cottrell Elementary School where we will have a vehicle to load your gear into and drive you to the start/finish. Please allow a few extra minutes to load and unload before the start of your race.
Community Contribution
This race is something we've wanted to do for a long time and it gives us an opportunity to give back to our community. We will be giving a portion of proceeds from this race to the Lumpkin County Park and Rec scholarship fund for youth sports.
