Frosty Cox 6 Hour Trail Race

3702 Sapp Road

Concord, NC Frosty Cox 6 Hour Trail Race

Registration closes: Wed, Jan 7 @ 11:59 PM ET

Description & Terrain

The Frosty Cox 6-Hour Trail Race is your once-a-year ticket to run wild on a private network of trails that are normally off-limits. The course is a 6.2-mile (10K) loop made up of 95% singletrack, 5% jeep road, and 100% dirt. Each loop dishes out 1,350 feet of elevation gain, which - if you’re doing the math - is a lot. These trails have everything - you'll navigate a creek crossing, wind through peaceful hardwood forests, and cruise under mature pine groves so serene you might forget you're supposed to be racing. But don’t get too comfy, there are climbs and descents that will make you wonder if you accidentally signed up for a race in the mountains instead of the heart of the Piedmont. Whether you’re in it to rack up miles, survive one loop, or just eat snacks at the aid station, the Frosty Cox serves up trail running in its pure and unpredictable form.

Awards

If you complete at least one full lap (6.2 miles), you’re officially a Frosty Cox finisher, and you’ll get a finisher award to prove it. Because hey, showing up and tackling this trail is no small feat! For the overachievers out there: complete 5 laps (31 miles) within the 6-hour time limit, and you’ll earn a special 50K award and eternal bragging rights. That’s right, a full ultramarathon on this spicy loop! We’ll also have awards for the top overall male and female finishers, so if you're feeling fast and fierce, go get it.

Aid Station

Each loop brings you back to a fully stocked aid station where you can refuel, recharge, and maybe rethink your life choices. You can expect standard aid station snacks, Tailwind, and a spread of home-baked goods made with love (and possibly too much butter). And if race day lives up to its name and gets a little frosty, we just might have hot cocoa on tap!

Parking

Parking is available on site and across the street. Carpooling is recommended if possible.
