Welcome to Mint Hill, NC – Hometown of OMR Ultra!
Get ready to test your limits and embrace the madness this Halloween at the OMR Ultra 24 Hour Challenge, held at the scenic Mint Hill Park on Wilgrove.
This isn’t your average race — it’s a full-day (and night!) celebration of endurance, grit, and pure trail running joy.
With a 1.5-mile loop course featuring a mix of crushed gravel, wooded singletrack, and grassy trail, you'll carve your own journey one lap at a time.
Whether you're gunning for your first ultra finish, stacking up miles to chase the legendary 100-mile buckle, or joining forces with friends for a relay-style sufferfest, this event is built for every kind of runner.
The clock runs from 7PM to 7PM, but how you tackle it is up to you — run hard, rest when you need, and come back for more.
Bring your headlamp, your crew, and your grit (and perhaps your costume) — The trails are waiting.

Split the time, share the challenge. Your team decides the strategy — It's all about covering as many laps as possible together in 24 hours.
Start / Finish Times
The OMR Ultra 24 Hour Challenge officially kicks off at 7:00 PM sharp on race day, when the timing lines go hot and the race clock begins. This is a rolling start, so while runners are encouraged to begin at 7:00 PM, you're welcome to start anytime afterward.
The race concludes exactly 24 hours later, at 7:00 PM the following evening, when the timing lines shut down and the clock stops. Any laps completed after 7:00 PM will not be counted,
THE COURSE
The loop is approximately 1.35 miles long.
The terrain is primarily crushed gravel and grass trail, with a short paved section along the parking lot that runners will travel each lap.
The course will be clearly marked with flagging tape and signage.
All course markings that you will need to follow will be on your right-hand side.
Each lap begins and ends at the same spot, providing access to aid, food, and perhaps shoulders to cry on.
This is a rolling start event — you can check in and begin your run any time after 7 PM Friday, and the timing line will remain hot until 7 PM Saturday.
Run as much or as little as you want (We encourage you to run a lot) — every loop counts toward your total.
Your timing chip on your bib will automatically record your loops.
Distance reference:
100K = 46 loops (about 62.1 miles)
100 Miles = 74 loops (about 99.9 miles)
Your GPS distance might and probably will vary - As far as the event is concerned, this lap count will serve as the marker as far as distance awards are concerned.
Every runner who completes 100K or more will receive a custom OMR Ultra Coin, and those who conquer 100+ miles will earn the OMR Ultra 24 Hour Challenge Finisher Buckle — in addition to their medal and eternal glory.
