Otter Pond Trail Races

Welcome to the inaugural Otter Ponds Trail Races where you'll be exploring the beautiful trails just south of Sebago Lake in Western Maine. These trails are managed by the Portland Water District and are open year round for free public use. By signing up for this race you'll be supporting the Bonny Eagle Athletics Department as a portion of your entry fee will be donated and all money raised with the optional add on during registration will be donated as well.

The 10k course will wander along wide double tract trail, and technical single track with some short but steep climbs. For you Dawn to Dusk runners you'll have about 15 and a half hours to run this 10k course as many times as you'd like. See the Strava map below for course details. The course will be marked with colorful reflective flagging and signs at crucial intersections. There will also be wrong way sings at appropriate locations.

Timing:
Race timing will be done by hand. All race bibs must be worn on the front of the runner and be visible at all times. Dawn to Dusk runners MUST check in with the timing team each time they come back to Johnson Field AND when leaving for another lap. It is the runners responsibility to check in with timing. Make sure they have you check in and out before walking away from the table. If you do not check in and out you may not get credit for a lap.
Upon finishing, 10k runners must remain in the finish shoot in the order they finish until they are recorded by a timing volunteer.

Parking:
The parking lot at Johnson Field will open at 4am, please do not arrive prior to this! We will have additional parking at the nearby Edna Libby Elementary School and a shuttle to and from the school parking beginning in the morning and running into the afternoon. We hope to have enough space at Johnson Filed for all the Dawn to Dusk runners but please arrive early to assure a space. If parking at the school please DO NOT park on the grass.

Event Schedule:
Packet pickup at Johnson Field:
Friday 5pm-7pm (all distances)
Saturday 4am-4:45 (Dawn to Dusk only), 8:30-9:30am (Kids' Fun Run), 8:30-10:15am (10k)
If you do not have you bib before the start of your race you will have to wait until after the start when a staff member has time to get your bib to start your race.

Along with the generous permission of the Portland Water District to use their trails, this race wouldn't be possible with the partnership of the Town of Standish Parks & Rec for the use of Johnson Field and Bonny Eagle School District for assistance with parking and transportation.
