Overview
Set in the scenic and quiet 180-acre Cedar Bend Park just north of Waverly, Iowa, this 4- or 8-hour loop event offers a relaxed yet ambitious playground for trail endurance lovers. The mix of singletrack, wider trail and gravel underfoot gives a bit of variety, and the time-boxed format (run as many laps as you can in your timeframe) allows you to set your own objective—be it a personal new distance, a strong pace or simply finishing strong.

The course: 3.15 mile loop that winds around the parameter of Cedar Bend park. The trails are well maintained. Roughly 1/5 of the loop will be on gravel, the rest is all trail.

Completion of the race: Only laps finished within the allotted 4 (or 8 hours) will be officially recognized. If you get back after your cutoff time, consider those bonus miles. You may switch from the 8 hours to the 4 hours race during registration, but will not be refunded the difference. If you register for the 4 hours, you may not jump up to the 8 hour.
Awards: Given to the top 3 overall male and top 3 overall female finishers or each the 4 hours and 8 hour events. In the case of a tie, the person who completed the distance first will be ranked higher.
Event Information
Map: 5k+ - about 3.2 mile - loop that goes around the parameter of Cedar Bend park. Each loops contains roughly 200ft of elevation. The trails are maintained, but do have some technical aspects. Roughly 1/5 of the loop will be on gravel, the rest is all trail.
Aid Station: There will be a fully stocked aid station at the start/finish line. If there is something specific you would like, please make sure to bring that. We will try our best to offer something for everyone. No aid may be given to a runner outside of the main start/finish aide station, doing so will result in disqualification.
Crews: We will have sufficient room for crews at the event. Please do not bring anything larger then a 10*10 tent and try your best to bring just one vehicle as parking is limited at Cedar Bend. The trail is open to non-race traffic, but please be mindful of the racers. There will be multiple places to cheer on your runners, however, no aid may be given to them outside of the start/finish aid station.
