RACE INFORMATION

Introducing the Grand Valley Backyard!

• Traditional and official Backyard race (bronze ticket event). 4.17 miles every hour, everyone starts together each yard/loop, it ends when only one person is left (no matter how long it takes).

•Date of October 3, 2026. A BEAUTIFUL time of year in the Grand Valley.

•As far as we know, this is the first LMS Style/Backyard race in the area. This makes 3 Backyards in 3 different states for Ultraverse Supplements!

• We are awarding distance specific buckles for ALL DISTANCES ACHIEVED! Even if you aren’t competing for that coveted last person standing spot, come out and see what you can do, and take home a buckle!

• Acrylic awards will be awarded to last male and last female standing. A top-of-the-line Sheridan Buckle will also be awarded to the winner (last standing overall).

• Your result in Ultrasignup will read as your distance achieved. You will not receive a DNF (unless you fail to finish one yard/loop).

• Anyone registered for either of our other two Backyards, Eternal Damnation or The Last Cowboy, can receive 40% off the inaugural year by emailing us. Registered for both? We will give you 80% off.

SWAG

In addition to a beautiful finishers buckle with your exact mileage achieved, all runners will receive a high-quality tri-blend shirt, a race sticker to put on your vehicle, and a draw-string bag.

Course Description

4.17 miles of mostly single track with some double track sprinkled in. No pavement!

500 feet of elevation gain per loop, almost entirely in the first half.

Entirely runnable and non-technical.

Huge staging area that will make for an amazing finish line environment.

We will provide runners with water and Proxima C Endurance Fuel - https://ultraversesupplements.com/products/proxima-c-endurance-fuel

If you require food, please bring your own. There will be plenty of space to set up around the corral and start/finish area.

All runners are welcome to have a crew (suggested). Please limit crew to 3 people or less. You are allowed a 10x10 per runner/crew. Feel free to bring a 10x10 (or smaller pop-up). Pop-ups must be staked/weighted down.

No dogs in the crew area or on course.

Keep children under control. If they are with crew, they should stay with crew in their crew's space.

Crew misconduct will disqualify their runner.

No electricity is available for runners. Plan accordingly. No gas generators are allowed in the crew space (electric is fine). Battery packs are great.

If you'd like to bring a grill and cook for your runner during laps, you are welcome to do so behind your vehicle, but not in the crew area. There are also campgrounds all around the staging area.

Deferral & Withdrawal

DEFERRAL/WITHDRAWAL INSTRUCTIONS

100% credit if canceled prior to 60 days of the race.
50% credit if canceled prior to 30 days of the race.
25% credit if canceled prior to 14 days of the race.
No credit is given for cancellations less than 2 weeks prior to the race. You’ll still be listed as DNS if notification is not given prior to 3 days before the race starts.

Please understand that there are no exceptions to these timelines. Please, don’t ask us to make one (we won’t).

•Races should deferred/withdrawn from BY THE RUNNER, rather than by messaging/emailing us.

• You will earn credit for ANY Ultraverse Supplements race, rather than being limited to the race in which you cancelled/deferred.

• The credit will be attached to your Ultrasignup account and will automatically apply the next time you register for an Ultraverse Supplements event. Note - sending an email to us does not initiate the cancellation of your registration. You must do this yourself for the credit to apply. You can do this by signing into Ultrasignup and then going to your registrations and clicking “edit”.

• Your credit appears in your registration history under "outstanding credits and coupons".

• Credit will be valid for one year, cannot be “gifted” to another runner, and you must use the same Ultrasignup account in which you originally registered for the race that you withdrew from.
