Race Description
Take yourself back to the schoolyard and enjoy a 5K fun run unlike any other—all while supporting a great cause. The run starts at the Red Bank Community Center and winds through the Red Bank school campuses, featuring a variety of terrain and playful challenges inspired by recess. This untimed 5K is all about fun, but if you’re feeling competitive, test your speed and agility by trying to outrun Leo the Lion. Walkers are welcome, and participants of all ages and abilities are encouraged to join in. Proceeds from the event benefit Red Bank Elementary School. Following the 5K, kids can take part in a 1-mile fun run of their own. Afterward go and enjoy the Chattanooga Outdoor Festival at the Chattanooga Choo Choo.
Course Description
5K Fun Run
The 5K course features a mix of surfaces and activities that bring recess back to life. Participants will run on asphalt, gravel, grass, and trails, with playful challenges along the way—including:
Running up and down the bleachers
Rounding the bases on the ball field
A classic 50-yard dash
Expect a fun, energetic course designed to keep you smiling from start to finish.
1-Mile Kids Race
This out-and-back 1-mile course takes place on asphalt and is open to kids of all ages. Leo the Lion will be on the move, adding excitement and encouragement along the way.
All Red Bank Elementary students participate for free in the 1 mile Kids Run.
