Help the American Cancer Society

You have an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of others here in Tioga County. On Saturday, Oct, 31 a fun filled community event planned in Wellsboro. This event, sponsored by the American Cancer Society with Tioga Running Club, is an opportunity to raise money and help cancer patients in Tioga County. Checks are made out to American Cancer Society.
October 31 to help other local families who are currently struggling with cancer. 
To get involved join us at Patterson trailhead, 32 Fellows Drive in Wellsboro, as we run and walk past cancer. Choose the activity level that is right for you and your family. There is a 1 mile walk/run event and a 5K run event. Registration will be open right up to race time, or you can pick up a registration form today. Registration forms for the 5K and the 1 mile fun walk/run can be picked up at Wild Asaph Outfitters at 71 Main Street, in Wellsboro. 
Checking-in for the events begins at 8:30AM, on October 31, at Patterson Trailhead.
The registration day of fee for the 1 mile walk run is $15 with a maximum fee of $30 for immediate family members. The cost for the 5K run is $25. All of the money raised at this event will go to eradicating cancer and helping patients in Tioga County.
Many community members have donated gifts to make this event extra special. Everyone who participates in either of the walk/run events will be eligible for a prize. Also remember, all participants are encouraged to ramp up the fun by wearing costumes. The top costume participants will be awarded prizes. Prizes will be awarded for Best Dressed, Funniest, Scariest, Most Unusual, Cutest, Best Fictional Character, Best Group and Coolest Celebrity.
We can help eradicating cancer and help local families!  Everyone is encouraged to come out and enjoy this healthy, fun community event that will help the fight against cancer. The race will be on the NEW Pine Creek Rail to Trail at the Patterson Trailhead in front of Wellsboro House and behind Pinnacle Towers.

This year 5K & 1 Mile fun Run will be at Wellsboro starting at Patterson Trailhead at 32 Fellows Drive on the new section of the Pine Creek rail to trail. Both races will start at 9AM. It is suggested you come in costume, but not necessary. The Run Past Cancer event is put on by American Cancer Society & Tioga Running Club to benefit Cancer victims.
