THE TRAIL WORK SERIES
Through our Trail Work Series, Runners for Public Lands partners with local trail maintenance organizations, clubs, and races to educate and activate runners through recurring trail stewardship events. All of our events are approved, permitted, and insured by the local land managing agency and led by trained trail work leaders. RPL Ambassadors and our partners are at each event to share news and upcoming ways to get involved in our organizations.
The Tri-State Trail Work Series will be hosted by The Running Kind and touch four different trail networks throughout Pennsylvania, New York, and New Jersey. The Running Kind is a carbon-neutral trail running organization focused on the intersection of trail running and sustainability. The schedule is as following...

LEHIGH VALLEY TRAIL WORK
This trail work is in partnership with the Monocacy Watershed Association in Bethlehem, PA. We will be doing trail work & stream cleanup as well as collecting litter along the trail.

Location: 100 Illick's Mill Rd, Bethlehem, PA 18017
Time: 9AM - 11:30AM
There will be a run before the trail work. This will be an out and back on the Monocacy Trail, runners and walkers are welcome to turn around whenever they would like.

NORTHERN NJ TRAIL WORK
This event is in partnership with NYNJ Trail Conference and Root Runners. Please review the timeline here as there is a group run and trail work component.

Location: Long Pond State Park [ Exact Location TBD ]
Time: 10AM-1PM
Trail work will include trail cleanup, as well as re-blazing of a 1.25 mile section of trail in the state park. If you have gloves, rakes, loppers, proper eyewear, etc. please bring them! There is an option to join us for a course preview of C'mon Armageddon 5 miler before the trail work.

CATSKILLS TRAIL WORK
This trail work is in partnership with The Catskill Center and New York New Jersey Trail Conference.

There will not be an official group run before this trail work.
EMMAUS TRAIL WORK
This trail work is in partnership with the Wildlands Conservancy and we will be working at South Mountain. This will include trail cutbacks and clean up of litter.

There will be a run before the trail work begins. This will be on the course for Little Bitty Backyard, a backyard ultra by The Running Kind.
