Come discover the Dean Makey School Forest as a public educational and recreational resource and help promote fitness, outdoor education, and adventure!

Finish one or more 5 km loop anytime during daylight hours. Start late. Finish early. Take a break, nap, or move the entire time.

Basic amenities provided: A well-marked course, water, and a porta-potty. Flushable toilets and running sinks are available a short walk away.

Bring your own chair and running kit, ergogenic supplementation, and a sense of adventure.
This is a low-key, no-cost, all-fun event.

The 5k route is a combination of ski trail and narrow singletrack hiking trail and is well marked.
A modified (smooth and level) course alternative is available for folks desiring a route with less elevation change and a smoother surface.

Parking: South side of Forestview Middle School off of Mapleton Road, Baxter, MN 56425. Use the gravel parking lot by the track and ice rink. The Start/Finish area is a short walk West to the practice fields.
