THE FRIDAY-NIGHT PARTY
Welcome to Toughest Alive GRIT Night, an epic Friday-night party you do not want to miss.
Friday night is where the whole Toughest Alive weekend comes together.
GRIT competitors race. Saturday Hourglass athletes pick up their bibs and shirts. Families and friends settle in around the start/finish. The crowd gets a front-row seat to a simple challenge that becomes increasingly unreasonable one round at a time.
At Toughest Alive, competition and GENEROUS ENCOURAGEMENT belong on the same starting line. We cheer for the athlete leading the field, the athlete fighting to beat the horn by five seconds, and the person who showed up nervous and started anyway.
Racing the Hourglass on Saturday? Come Friday night, meet the community, pick up your packet, and join the party.
Want the whole weekend?
Take on GRIT Night Friday, then return for the Hourglass Saturday.
Two very different tests. One unforgettable weekend. A truly unnecessary amount of confidence.
Welcome to the DOUBLE TAP.
HOW GRIT NIGHT WORKS
FRIDAY NIGHT. LAST ONE STANDING.
You do not need to be an elite athlete to start.
Fast runner? Come on.
Slow runner? This is your jam.
CrossFitter? Perfect.
Rucker? Yep.
Weekend warrior? Absolutely.
Still thinking about getting back in shape? We have a starting line for you too.
Every 15 minutes, the horn sounds.
RUN 1 MILE.
Return to the GRIT zone and complete the round's required BURPEES and BROAD-JUMP DISTANCE.
Cross the line before the next horn.
Make the cutoff? Congratulations. You get to do it again.
Miss it? Tap out, catch your breath, and join the crowd cheering everyone still in the fight.
Each round gets harder. The burpees increase. The broad-jump cone moves farther away. The clock remains completely unsympathetic.
GRIT Night lasts no more than three hours. If more than one athlete completes the final scheduled round, the remaining athletes enter a short final showdown.
There is no required pace and no minimum number of rounds. You might make two. You might make six. You might discover that you are much harder to eliminate than you expected.
THAT IS THE POINT.
GRIT is not about showing up already tough. It is about showing up and finding out.
COME FOR THE PARTY. LEAVE WITH A STORY.
GRIT Night is built to be as much fun to watch as it is to attempt.
Bring your family. Bring your friends. Bring a chair. Pick up your Hourglass packet, meet people, cheer for strangers, and watch competitors slowly discover why the broad-jump cone keeps moving farther away.
The crowd counts down the clock, celebrates last-second saves, and welcomes every eliminated athlete into the cheering section.
The biggest moment may not belong to the fastest athlete. It may belong to the person who reaches the line with seconds left, hears the crowd erupt, and realizes they just earned another round.
Enter GRIT Night by itself. Race the Hourglass on Saturday. Or take the DOUBLE TAP and do both.
You do not have to be the fastest.
You do not have to be the strongest.
You do not need to know how many rounds you can survive.
You only have to step onto the line.
SHOW UP.
STAY IN THE FIGHT.
GIVE GENEROUS ENCOURAGEMENT.
LAST ONE STANDING.
Try not to accidentally register after watching a few rounds.
Actually, go ahead.
Come for the party. Leave with a story.
