Ohio to Erie 326 Mile Road Race

Erie to Ohio — October 7–17, 2027

Erie to Ohio will follow the Ohio to Erie Trail from Cleveland to Cincinnati, covering approximately 326 miles from Lake Erie to the Ohio River. Mileage will vary slightly depending on any trail closures/detours.
The dates are now final:
Start: Thursday, October 7, 2027
Finish cutoff: Sunday morning, October 17, 2027

NO CREWS - this is to keep traffic down and avoid any strain on capacity at the trailheads and trail access points.

You will be on your own (along with other participants).

We will provide a tracker, and will closely monitor all participants for their safety.

The format will be similar in philosophy to Coast to Coaster: a small-field journey race rather than a traditional supported ultramarathon. There will not be traditional aid stations along the route.

Participants will travel through communities across Ohio and will be responsible for managing food, sleep and other needs along the way.

Race Details
Distance: Approximately 326 miles
Route: Ohio to Erie Trail, Cleveland to Cincinnati
Start: Thursday, October 7, 2027 — Edgewater Park, Cleveland
Finish: Ohio River, Cincinnati
Cutoff: Sunday morning, October 17, 2027
Entry Fee: $695 (Includes Parking at the finish, transportation and lodging at the start). Your cost will be less if you do not need parking/hotel/transportation

For runners using race logistics, the entry fee includes transportation from Cincinnati to Cleveland on Wednesday, October 6, a hotel room in Cleveland that night, and extended parking in Cincinnati while you're on the course.

There are also two logistics discounts:
$75 off if you do not need Cincinnati parking.
$75 off if you do not need the Cleveland hotel/transportation.

Those discounts can be combined with each other.

Finishers will receive an Erie to Ohio finisher buckle, and a portion of race proceeds will be donated to support the Ohio to Erie Trail.

I'm intentionally keeping the field relatively small for the inaugural year. If we reach the initial capacity, additional runners will be placed on a waitlist while I determine whether expanding transportation capacity makes sense.
