Course Description

Join us for the Spaulding Woods 50K trail race on Saturday, July 12th, in beautiful Northfield, NH.

The course is a technical 5.6-mile loop trail featuring rocks, roots, and footbridges. To complete the full 50K, runners will have ten hours to finish six laps, covering approximately 33 miles with 4,400 feet of total elevation gain. The trail is primarily singletrack, with a small portion of doubletrack.

Runners will have access to a well-stocked aid station, portable toilets, and their own drop bags after each lap.

The race supports Spaulding Academy & Family Services, one of the oldest organizations in the nation serving children in need. They provide community-based services, academics, clinical care, outdoor challenges, and health and wellness programs.

Race Specifics & Rules

The race begins on the Spaulding Academy & Family Services campus, located at 72 Spaulding Rd, Northfield, NH, at 8:00 AM on Saturday, July 12th. Bib pickup will be available between 6:45 AM and 7:45 AM on race day.

Runners will have a ten-hour time limit to complete the race, with a strict 4:00 PM cutoff to begin the final lap. Any runner not starting their sixth lap by 4:00 PM will not be permitted to continue. Dropouts must check in at the timing table before leaving the event.

To minimize the race’s impact on the trail system, pacers are not allowed. This is a cupless event, so please bring your own refillable water containers to help reduce waste. For safety reasons, animals (including dogs), drones, strollers, and bikes are not allowed. The use of headphones is also discouraged.

Swag Bags

Each registered runner will receive a swag bag at the race, which includes a race shirt, Formula369 endurance fuel, arm sleeves, a lacrosse/massage ball, a bandana, race stickers, and water bottle cleaning tablets. Additional items may be added to the 2025 swag bag as the race date approaches. Please note that swag bag availability may be limited for late registrations.
