Welcome to Spaulding Woods

Join us for the Spaulding Woods 50K trail race on Saturday, July 11th, in Northfield, NH.

The course consists of five 10K loops on a technical trail system featuring rocks, roots, footbridges, and a mix of short climbs and descents throughout. Runners will have ten hours to complete approximately 32 miles with roughly 4,000 feet of cumulative elevation gain. The trail is primarily singletrack, with a small portion of doubletrack.

The looped format keeps runners close to the start/finish area, with access to a well-stocked aid station, a midpoint water station, portable toilets, and personal drop bags at the completion of each lap.

The race supports Spaulding Academy & Family Services, one of the oldest organizations in the nation serving children in need. They provide community-based services, academics, clinical care, outdoor challenges, and health and wellness programs.

Race Specifics & Rules

The race begins on the Spaulding Academy & Family Services campus, located at 72 Spaulding Rd, Northfield, NH, at 8:00 AM on Saturday, July 11th. Bib pickup will be available between 6:45 AM and 7:45 AM on race day.

Runners will have a ten-hour time limit to complete the race. There is a strict 8-hour cutoff for all runners to begin their 5th and final loop. Any runner not on their 5th loop by 4pm will not be permitted to continue.

Dropouts must check in at the timing table before leaving the event.

To minimize the race’s impact on the trail system, pacers are not allowed. This is a cupless event, so please bring your own refillable water containers.

For safety reasons, animals (including dogs), drones, strollers, and bikes are not allowed. The use of headphones is discouraged.

Cancellation Policy

We understand that plans can change. To balance flexibility for runners with the realities of organizing a small, limited-capacity trail event, we offer the following cancellation options:

Cancellation & Deferrals
Cancel by April 1: 100% of your entry may be rolled over to the following year’s event
Cancel by June 1: 50% of your entry may be rolled over to the following year’s event
After June 1: No deferrals or credits will be issued

Rolled-over entries apply to the following year’s event only and are not transferable beyond that.

We do not offer cash refunds.

Optional Refund Protection
Refund protection is available at checkout through UltraSignup. This is a third-party service that provides reimbursement directly through UltraSignup if you are unable to attend.

Registrations that include refund protection are handled directly through UltraSignup and are not eligible for deferral or rollover under this policy.
