About the Event

The Rider Rattler is being revived after a several year hiatus by Rider Park Director, Sara Street, and Pursue Your Happiness. We are happy to offer two distances; 4 and 8 miles. Both will bring runners and hikers to three beautiful vistas using a variety of trails.

Those completing the 4-miler can expect a total race distance of 4.3 miles and 675ft of elevation gain. This course uses primarily double-track trail with some single-track mixed in.

Those completing the 8-miler can expect a total race distance of approximately 8.2 miles and 1350ft of elevation gain. The 8-mile course is an even mix of double and single-track trail with some more technical sections.

About Rider Park

Rider Park was a gift of the late Thomas J. Rider, who wanted to share his love of outdoor recreation with the community.

A businessman and civic leader, Mr. Rider believed strongly in a life of community service. The park is a fitting tribute to a man who balanced work with volunteerism and recreation.

Owned and operated by First Community Foundation Partnership, the park is private land made available for public enjoyment.
