La Garita 200

The La Garita 200 is Southern Colorado’s brand new 200 mile race held in the amazing La Garita mountains. The course consist of a giant loop starting in finishing in the same place with only a small section of a few miles of out and back to connect. Starting in beautiful South Fork CO on the banks of the Rio Grande river taking you through breathtaking La Garita mountains. Topping out at just under 13,000 feet, you will run through arid pine forests up over alpine tundra, dipping down into massive mountain parks only to make a giant circle then back over the tundra again to finish back at the start in South Fork. We are looking to get 25-30 runners the first year although permits came later than hoped. Sign up now and you wont be charged until we reach the 25-30 number then we will send out an invite similar to a wait list notification where you can confirm and pay.
