Equathon Runner
This is a unique opportunity to pair up with a horse (and their rider) for a relay race. An Equathon is a relay race where the first lap is on horseback and the second is on foot. There are a few people who'd like to ride but need a partner to run or hike.
Sat June 27 or Sun June 28
Hillman State Park
Trail run of 6, 13 or 18.5 miles on a marked course. The course is mostly flowy single track, not a lot of elevation, rolling hills and not very technical. Each loop starts with ~2 miles of gravel road. Hikers welcome.
$30 - includes aid stations every 6 miles, finisher prize, and one day ride and tie membership.
Primitive camping available at the race location.
Note: exact start time will vary, depending on when your rider finishes, but should be between 10-10:30 or 10:30-11am depending on your partner's distance, we will give you a better estimate after you register.
No horse experience necessary (you are only running), though you are welcome to pet/give treats to your partner. Argo is waiting for you!
