Description
The Plain races take place on USFS trails and roads in the Cascade mountains in the Lake Wenatchee, Entiat, and Chelan ranger districts. There are approximately 85 miles of trail and 20 miles of forest service roads, all quite remote. Elevation gain/loss is roughly 21,000 feet. This is a self-supported event. There is one re-supply point after the first 100K. Your water sources are creeks and rivers on the course and you will be carrying all your food and necessary gear from the start, or from the resupply point. Train for long, totally self-sufficient segments on a fairly difficult course with great scenery.
This is a non-profit event. All proceeds go to local Search and Rescue and military veteran support groups. For more information visit our web site at www.plain100.com.
Qualification Standard
For the Plain 100 Mile you must have completed a TRAIL 100 mile, the Plain 100K, or an equivalent run prior to entry. An "equivalent" run is one at least as challenging as the Plain 100K.
There is no qualification event required for The Plain 100K, but don't take this event/distance for granted.
Refunds
There are no refunds unless the event is cancelled. In this case, some funds will be withheld to cover direct expenses.
