Welcome!
Founded in 1998, the Saint Louis Ultrarunners Group is an organization dedicated to promoting ultrarunning in the central Midwest. Fostering a community atmosphere, our club welcomes new and seasoned runners alike. If you are looking for great races, a friendly atmosphere and a group of people that are passionate about ultrarunning then you are in the right place.
Membership
Saint Louis Ultrarunners Group members (SLUGs):
- receive a SLUG auto decal
- get $10 off race registration fee for most SLUG events (discount code provided by email)
- are invited to year-end SLUG holiday party
- are automatically entered in the EMUS competition if membership is active at series start (March)
Members are added to the SLUG email list, where race discount codes, invitation to annual party, and other SLUG business is communicated. Most other communication occurs on the SLUG Facebook page.
Trail Stewardship
Your SLUG membership also supports local efforts to build and maintain area trails. Through annual financial contributions, the SLUGs support other non-profit organizations, such as the Ozark Trail Association, that build and maintain trails throughout Missouri and advocate for new trail connections in the greater Saint Louis area.
Multiple SLUG members are Adopters of sections of the Ozark and Berryman Trails through the Ozark Trail Association's Adopt-A-Trail Program. Group maintenance outings are also organized as needed to support our trail races.
Social Events
In addition to races, the SLUGs host group runs and participate in other STL-area group runs with affiliated groups. SLUG events are posted on the SLUG Facebook page and SLUG event page .
We wrap up the year with a winter SLUG Awards Ceremony and Holiday Party. All SLUG members are invited to attend and are welcome to bring a guest. Come celebrate the year's accomplishments and commiserate over the epic failures with food and drink as we honor the achievements of the EMUS winners and thank our volunteers.
SLUG Races
