Terrapin Mountain

Sedalia, VA 50k, Half-marathon

This Event Took Place Sat. Mar 16, 2024

Description

For more than 17 years, the Terrapin Mountain 50k and Half-marathon races have established themselves as spring favorites for many runners. These races will introduce you to the challenging and beautiful trails around Terrapin Mtn, White Oak Ridge, Goff Mtn, and Hunting Creek. The time of year is perfect, the community is amazing, and the experience may just have you coming back for an annual dose of good vibes.

For each registered runner, your entry includes unique entrant's swag (including the famous terrapin mug), fully-stocked aid stations, a finisher's shirt, a post-race meal, and a special award to all qualified category finishers.

Tent and car camping is free this year! Those wanting a spot with electricity can book an RV spot through the Sedalia Center at: https://www.sedaliacenter.org/camping-at-sedalia/ We'll have pizza for a small add-on for those who come out Friday evening.

Except for our Pregnancy & Postpartum Policy that we've adopted as part of the Trail Sisters Approved Standards that Winding Way Run Co. applies to its events, all registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferrable, whether to another individual or another race year. Like many other race companies in this community, we've adopted this policy because there are significant up front costs to putting on these types of events and many of those expenses occur months in advance of race day. (In the event this race meets capacity and we have a waitlist to draw from, we will re-evaluate this policy.) Thank you for understanding.

Please visit the race website (linked above) for more information.

Come and join us for a wonderful event and see the Blue Ridge Mountains on the cusp of spring!

Non-Profit Partner

Winding Way is proud to partner with the Harvest Outreach Center. Starting their 21st year in operation, the Harvest Outreach Center is a local 501(c)3 non-profit agency that provides school-based and summer mental health services to youth ages 4-17 from the Lynchburg and surrounding area. The summer program is a unique time when youth get to participate in activities and outings they might not otherwise experience - fishing, swimming, ropes course, canoeing, etc. Donations made at registration will support Harvest Outreach Center's summer program and help provide supplies and equipment which is otherwise hard to find grant funding for. Thank you for your consideration!
