Wolf River Trails

The King 10K and 1/2 Marathon will be held on the Wolf River Trails, the same trails used for the Mamba 100 race. The trails are mostly single track, flat and very runnable. This race is for the very beginner runner to the most experienced. There will be generous cut off times and you'll be guaranteed a good time. This is the perfect race tune-up to head into the fall races.

RV Campground

The King 10k & 1/2 marathon has plenty of RV camping at the RV Park at Agricenter International. Within walking distance to the start line, the RV Park offers sites with sewer, 30-amp & 50-amp electrical hook-ups, water, dump station, restrooms, shower, and laundry facilities. The RV Park at Agricenter is the perfect location if you plan on bringing or renting an RV for the race. The main car parking area for the race is right across the street from the RV campground.

Walmart and Kroger are 2 miles away. Kroger is the Memphis area grocery store

Restaurants - There are many restaurants packed up and down Germantown Parkway

Breakaway Running Store - located on Germantown Parkway is very close to the trails.

Things to do: Visit Shelby Farms Park. The trails that the Mamba race and Cobra Den Trail Series are ran on are part of Shelby Farms Park. The park is huge covering 4,500 acres and is one of the largest urban parks in the country. There are over 40 miles of trails both paved and unpaved and over 20 lakes. The park is also home to a herd of buffalo that you can see while walking the trails. www.shelbyfarmspark.org is the website so check out all there is to do here.

The trails are open to the public during the day so not only will you see runners but you'll see people walking the trails or riding their bike.

Bathrooms: There will be port-a-pottys located at the Start/Finish line of the rac

Weather

The race will be held in the summer months and Memphis is very hot and humid. Each race will start at 7am. Caution is required when running these races. Memphis also experiences summertime storms and these can be short-lived or very damaging. The RD has the right to postpone or cancel the race due to weather. We will do everything we can to get the race in at 7 am but safety of runners are our #1 priority.

Refunds

There are no refunds in each race or series of the Cobra Den Trail Races. Money has already been spent reserving the park trails, parking, porta pottys, food, etc.

There are no roll-over credits to another race.
