Race Details
Ocean State Ultra consists of 3 race categories: 100 mile, 12 hour, and 6 hour. The three races will all begin on Saturday July 26th through Sunday July 27th. The race is located at Big River State Management Area in West Greenwich, Rhode Island
Tent Set-up
10x10 canopy tents or smaller may be set up anywhere at the desert as long as it doesn’t interfere with the race course. No fires are allowed! Tent setup may start at 6:30am, please do not arrive earlier than that as race crew will be setting up. There is plenty of room for tents so there is no need to rush!
Aid Stations
There will be 3 aid stations along the 10 mile loop, located at the start, turn around at mile 5, and the midway point which you will pass twice. Aid stations will have basic necessities including water, electrolytes, candy, and snacks. Drop bags may be given to race staff for the midway station only. To accommodate nut allergies, no nuts will be served at aid stations but you may bring nut products in your drop bag.
Parking
Parking will be offsite (location TBA soon). A shuttle will provide transportation to participants and spectators to the race start location.
Schedule
6:30am Race checkin/ bib pickup begins, tent setup opens
7:45am Mandatory 100 mile pre-race meeting
8:00am 100 mile start
8:45am Mandatory 12hour and 6 hour pre-race meeting
9:00am 12 hour and 6 hour races start
The Course
The course consists of 10 mile loops (1.5 miles of desert, 1 mile of pavement, and 7.5 miles of trails) through Big River Management Area. The trail is relatively flat with an elevation gain of 394ft per loop and minimally technical terrain.

Race Swag
Each participant will receive a race shirt. Sweatshirts will be available to purchase online or on race day.

FAQs
When is the race?
Ocean State Ultra will start on July 26th 2025, the 100 miler will go until July 27th 2025.
What are the time limits?
For the 6 hour and 12 hour races will have 6 or 12 hours respectively to run as far as you can. The 100 miler has a time limit of 30 hours
What will participants receive?
Each participant will receive a race shirt as part of their registration. 100 mile finishers will receive a 100 mile finisher mug.
