About Arizona Monster

The Arizona Monster is a 304-mile point-to-point journey through the wild heart of Southern Arizona.

Created by the Destination Trail team—the force behind the USA’s most iconic 200-milers—this race takes you deep into the rugged, untamed beauty of the Sonoran Desert.

Known for its subtropical warmth in winter and two distinct rainy seasons, the Sonoran is one of the most biologically rich deserts on the planet. The contrast of arid terrain and bursts of life creates a striking backdrop of vibrant flora, elusive wildlife, and big-sky solitude.

The route is remote, raw, and relentlessly challenging—crossing iconic backcountry terrain and high-elevation mountain ranges that test even the most seasoned ultra athletes.

This isn't just another ultra. It's a multi-day odyssey across one of the most unique desert ecosystems in the world.
