SoCalTrail’s premier ultra distance event - across the untouched Tehachapi’s on California's largest expanse of private land.
From the producers of the Bulldog Ultra and Pacifico Ultra comes SoCalTrail’s newest adventure!! Taking place entirely on Tejon Ranch, just 1-hour north of Los Angeles, 30 minutes from Bakersfield and conveniently off the 5 freeway, this is the only opportunity to explore these never-been-run trails preserved in time!!
No heatmaps. No FKT’s. No preview runs. No trespassing until race day!!
Discover the world-class diversity of southern California through canyons, along creeks, over mountains and across rolling sagebrush plains. The course runs entirely on fire roads, and may encounter abundant wildlife populations from Rocky Mountain elk, wild turkey, California mule deer, wild boar, black bear, bobcat, coyotes, raptors, to cattle roaming the working ranch.
SoCalUltraTrail at Tejon Ranch covers a full spectrum of pristine eco biomes home to ancient 300-year old oaks, springtime poppy and wildflower blooms, as well as distant Joshua Trees. This one-of-a-kind trail running adventure offers spectacular views from the Tehachapi Mountain range of Mount Pinos in the Angeles National Forest to the high desert and central valley expanses. The 50k and 100k are an ultrarunner’s dream taking on the iconic Grapevine switchbacks, self-powered on two feet, high above the 5 Freeway, while the 11k and 25k explore the local foothills.
