NEW RACE IN 2026

What started as a fun group run in 2025 that was mostly about candy and a few jump scares, Trick or Trail Night Run has evolved into a new trail running night experience in Kamloops, BC. There are 2 distance options: 15km and 5km (which is actually now a 6km).

As dusk fades and a cold mist settles over the hills, the trails of Kenna Cartwright begin to stir. Shadows stretch longer, the trees whisper, and something unseen moves just beyond the edge of your headlamp beam. This is no ordinary run.

Step into another version of Kenna Cartwright for a night of eerie adventure, where every twist in the trail could bring a sudden jump scare, a lurking creature of the night, or the distant echo of footsteps that aren’t your own. The forest will come alive with ghouls, tricks, and treats - testing not only your endurance, but your nerve.

Will you keep your pace when something howls in the darkness?

Will you follow the markings… even when they lead you deeper into the unknown?

Only the brave will find their way back to the finish.

CANCELLATION POLICY

1. No refunds: Once registered, no refunds will be provided.
2. Deferrals: Deferrals will only be considered under special circumstances at the Race Director's discretion, up to 2 months before race day.
3. Sold-Out Events: Once a race distance is full, no additional spots will be added.
4. Bib Transfers: Bibs are non-transferable to another runner - no exceptions.
5. Distance Changes: Runners may drop down in distance at no cost until registration closes. Moving up in distance is not permitted once registered.
6. Event Cancellation: If the event is cancelled due to weather, fires, acts of nature or other unforeseen circumstances, participants will have 2 options: Deferral to the following year's event (valid for 1 year only) or 50% refund of the the registration cost less processing fees.

REQUIRED EQUIPMENT

Please note: This run takes place at night after the sun goes down and there are NO LIGHTS on the trails. All runners must wear a headlamp or carry a flashlight at all times. It is for your safety and the safety of all other runners on course.

FAIR WARNING

BEWARE: There will be volunteers on one of the trails with intention to scare you! No one will touch you, but there will be some loud noises, spooky sounds, and scary costumes.
