Armstrong Redwoods Trail Run

Armstrong Redwoods

Guerneville CA 50K, 30K, 17K, 9K, 5K

Registration Ended Thu. May 5, 2016 @ 3:00 PM

Armstrong Redwoods State Natural Reserve and Austin Creek State Recreation Area

Our event begins and ends in Armstrong Redwoods State Park among ancient 1,200+ year old redwoods, more than 300 feet high! These trails are the most beautiful coastal redwood trails found in California.

Since this event sold out last year, we will feature two days of running. The 17K will be featured on both days.
Saturday: 50K, 30K, 17K
Sunday: 17K, 9K, and 5K

The 50K and 30K continue along Gilliam Creek and will enjoy some technical challenges, including 10 creek crossings. Yes, you might get wet feet. You may see an abundance of wildlife on one of the most pristine trails you may ever experience. Fire trails bring you back to Armstrong Redwoods. The 50 km distance will enjoy another loop through the redwoods.

The 17 km distance will continue to Austin Creek SRA. The trail runs through old growth trees along Gilliam Creek. It is magical. It returns to Armstrong Redwoods on a fire trail.

The 9 km distance will run almost entirely through the redwoods trails.

The 5 km will be a loop that passes the Redwoods Forest Theater through the redwoods and cutting across to the magnificent East Ridge Trail ending at the Visitor Center.

We will also be promoting camping to bring our trail running together. However, different from our other group camping races, you will need to reserve your own site at the Bullfrog Pond Campground. First come first serve. PCTR Staff will be at campsites #22 and #23 if you want to reserve one near us. But hurry, there are only 12 left that allow 8 people and at only $35 and $8 each extra car.
