Peacock Challenge 55 Mile

The Peacock Challenge (PC) 55, brought to you by the HURT ohana, is an extremely difficult event designed for the most adventurous and well-prepared ultrarunner. Conducted on trails located in the Kuaokala Forest Reserve Area above the Dillingham Airfield (Waialua, Hawai‘i), the race is noted for its grueling terrain, incredible heat and humidity, all within a uniquely scenic course high above West and North O'ahu, offering breathtaking views of the majestic blue coastline of the Pacific Ocean.

Due to the extreme nature of the course, distance, and climate, participants must have completed an official trail ultrarun (documented results via Ultrasignup) of at least 50 kilometers within the past 2 years (June 1, 2014).

The course is remote and brutal. Course cutoffs have been established for the safety of the runner and will be strictly enforced. In depth course maps, details and runner information can be found at

In keeping in the tradition of the HURT 100, and the HURT Trail Series, this event is designed to be a low-key event.
