Reschedule Date June 3rd
Due to Sugar Hollow Park flooding on May 12-13, the Sugar Hollow Scramble has been rescheduled for June 3rd. Runners registered for the May 13th race have 3 options:
1) Do nothing and your registration will automatically roll over to the June 3rd race date.
2) You can transfer your race entry into either the Run the Tweetsie 10K (June 24) https://runsignup.com/Race/TN/JohnsonCity/RunTheTweetsie
or the Lazy Crazy Triathlon (July19) https://runsignup.com/Race/TN/Kingsport/LazyCrazyTriathlon

3) You can request a race refund up until May 26.
After May 26, no race refunds or race transfers will be allowed.
Come get your sugar rush at The Sugar Hollow Scramble. This is ONE SWEET RACE. This event is unlike anything in the area. You start the race at 8:30AM and YOU decide how far you want to go. The course is a 5K, mostly single track trail, through several unique areas of Sugar Hollow Park. You will twist through an old hardwood forest on a single track, glide over the soft needles in a mature pine grove, check out the long range views as you cross the earthen dam, wander through the wetlands, all before returning to the start/finish. If you liked it, you can do it again, and again, and again until your 3 hours are up. Come run a fun trail 5K or 30K....or somewhere in between.
Race Day Schedule (6/3/17)
7:30AM - Park Opens
7:30AM - 8:00AM Day of Registration At the Start/Finish
7:30AM - 8:15AM Pre Registered Bib Pick Up At the Start/Finish
8:30AM - Race Starts
10:30AM- Awards will begin for shorter distances
11:30AM - 3 Hour Cut Off (Only Completed laps are counted)
11:30AM- Ice Cream Party!
Take Exit 7 off I-81 (turn left if coming from the South and Right if from the North).
Go a few hundred yards to the Lee Highway stoplight and turn right toward Abingdon.
Go about 0.7 miles and turn left at the stoplight into Sugar Hollow Park.
Once in Sugar Hollow Park, go about 0.4 miles to Soccer Field Road and turn right (follow sign for Soccer Complex and go through open yellow gate).
Drive to the end of this road and you will come to the parking area for the soccer fields. Park here and walk down to the Registration Table for packet pick-up.
There will be two aid stations on the course.
The Start/Finish Aid Station (of every 5k loop) will be stocked with Sword Hydration, water, gels, pretzels, oranges and other various items.
The second Aid Station will be at 1.3 miles and again at 2 miles, and will be stocked with water and Sword Hydration. ***The section of the course is a loop, and the aid station is technically at 1.3 miles...however, it is at a “pinch point” and will basically be passed on either side so if you need water you can get it with a 75-100 foot course alteration at about mile 2.
There are bathrooms at the Start/Finish area....Flush Toilets, so a runner's luxury!!!!
3 Hour Time Limit
There is a 3 hour time limit. All completed 5K loops under the 3 hour cut off will count toward your distance total. You can start a loop any time prior to the cut off, but only completed loops will count.
All finishers will receive a finisher's award, race swag, and a delicious ice cream dessert.

Your distance will be determined by the last full lap you completed.
