Run, jog, hike or walk, or crawl you have up to 30 hours to do your best ! Welcome to the gateway of New England Running! The 30 Hour / 100 mile race, will take place on Saturday, June 26TH with a start time of 8:30 AM and run to Sunday, June 27TH ending at 2:30 PM or 30 Hours. Run, jog, hike, walk or crawl; go, as long as, you wish: 26.2, 50K, 50M, 100K ,100 MILES or more, it's up to you. Great way to train yourself for a Fall Ultra. There will be a packet pickup between 3PM and 6PM, at the Forest Pavilion, on Friday 25TH; at this time or early on Saturday Morning (26TH) you can choose a place to store gear to be used during the race and for a "rest and recuperation station" in an adjacent field for use in your 30 hour endeavor, (NO overnight camping allowed per Town Ordinance/Friday night) . Access to your vehicle will, also be nearby, as you loop, through the day and night. There will be an award for first to fifth overall with the most amount of miles in the 30 hours. An incredible buckle will be given at no additional charge to all those achieving 100 miles in the 30 hours, but that does not win the race; it is most miles achieved in 30 hours. One Pacer is allowed per runner, if requested, at a cost of $25, only after 22 hours or 6:30 AM Sunday June 27h (this was modified for those seeking under 24 hours), they must register and sign the waiver, this allows them to hydration, food and insurance coverage. Pacers must check in for the wristband, anyone using a unauthorized Pacer will be disqualified from the race. The course is a slightly rolling roots and rocky terrain, that is very doable, so 2.23 miles times 45 gets you a buckle ! In the past there were, as many as, 15 recipients for the outstanding buckle, this in 85 degree weather and 75% humidity. Please remember: No Refunds or Deferrals, possibility of a "virtual", pending Covid19 restrictions by CDC and Town. A portion of the proceeds will go to the Roosevelt Forest Commission and EMS and is part of the Roosevelt Forest Ultra Trail Race Series. A buckle would be EPIC, this 4th of July, but you have be bold. Are you in ?
