Dark 2 Dawn is an all-night trail run at Indian Camp Creek in St. Charles County, offering 10K, 6 hours and 9 hours timed ultra-options.

Indian Camp Creek Park, 2679 Dietrich Road, Foristell, MO 63348
Start/Finish at the Boy Scout Camping Shelter/Area.

COURSE DESCRIPTION:

The Dark 2 Dawn 10K, 6Hrs and 9Hrs timed ultra are simultaneous trail races that will be held on the scenic Indian Camp Creek Park. Each race takes place on an approx. 6.7-ish mile loop route featuring a combination of open-field crossings and wooded singletrack, consisting mainly of dirt with a bit of rock mixed in. The terrain is flat to rolling hills.

** The Dark 2 Dawn 10K is one loop, whereas the 9Hrs and 6Hrs timed option challenges you to knock down as many loops as you have in you in the given time frame.

Please be aware that this is a trail race and the mileage for the loop/course is approximate you may end up running a little over than the suggested 10K per loop.

NO WIMPS AND NO WHINING!

START TIME & TIME LIMIT:

The start time for the 10K and 9Hrs will be 9PM, Saturday, June 22, 2024, and the start time for 6Hrs timed will be 12:01AM on Sunday, June 23, 2024.

PLEASE NOTE: Check-in begins at 8PM on Saturday, June 22, 2024. Pick up your race packet, pitch a tent and hangout until it's go time!
CUT OFF TIMES: 10K there is none. 9Hrs and 6Hrs timed ultra-participants MUST start their final loop by 4:30AM.

The race runs from 9PM Saturday, June 22 - 6AM Sunday, June 23 for 9Hrs timed event and 10K distances and Sunday, June 23 from 12:01AM - 6:00AM for 6Hrs timed event.

AID STATIONS:

There will be 1 Aid Stations at the start/finish that will be supplied with water, electrolyte drinks, gels, snacks, first aid, and enthusiastic volunteers! Restrooms will be available at the start/finish.

Everyone must run with a handheld or hydration vest.

AWARDS: Awards will be given for the first overall male and female finisher ONLY for the 10K, 6Hrs and 9Hrs timed events based on the number of loops finished and time in which they were completed.

All finishers will receive a custom finisher medal based on the number of loops completed within the timed events.
6 Hours - 20.1 Miles - 3 Loops
9 Hours - 26.8 - 4 Loops

*50K Mashup runners MUST complete 5 loops to count towards their series races.

**All medals and awards need to picked up by the runners as they finish. We will not be mailing your swag, medals and/or awards**

POST RACE:

We will have some Grab-n-Go Snacks for all registered participants!

This Is a Cup-Free Event

PLEASE NOTE: DARK 2 DAWN IS A CUP-FREE EVENT, which means there won't be any paper cups at aid stations, and there won't be any paper or plastic cups at our finish-lines. We won't be making any exceptions to this rule, so if you don't bring your own drinking receptacle come race-weekend, you'll want to pre-purchase a collapsible cup and if you don't already have a reusable soft flask to carry with you on the course (for soda & electrolyte drink, etc.), we will have the collapsible cups for purchase when you check in for the race and/or at packet pickup for $5 (quantities limited at check-in).
Please help us keep our races eco-friendly, minimize the trash in the landfills and our trails clean.
