2019 KLICKITAT TRAIL MARATHON – HALF & 5k Run!
THIS is a FUNDRAISING event benefiting THE LYLE AND KLICKITAT Community Centers & K - 12 PUBLIC SCHOOLS IN PROVIDING OUR CHILDREN POSITIVE CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES. THIS YEAR, ALONG WITH MANY EXCITING PRIZES, AMAZING SOUP, FINISHER MEDALLIONS FOR ALL RUNNERS, FIRST PLACE AWARDS, AWESOME DJ ENTERTAINMENT.***PLUS GIVING OUT 3, YES, THREE $500 SCHOLARSHIPS TOWARDS YOUR COLLEGE OR TRADE SCHOOL!!

Due to the COMPLEXITY in FUND DISTRIBUTION and being a “FUNDRAISER,” THERE ARE NO REFUNDS. If for some reason you sign up and are unable to run, you should still come for your soup! It is AMAZING!
EVENT REGISTRATION
This years registration on ULTRA SIGNUP closes Thursday November 1st. There is a $10. price increase for day-of Registration on all races. (With the exception of UNDER AGE of 18 is FREE FOR THE 5K RACE!) We will start registration and sign-in @ 7:00 am and go until 9:30am at the Jerry Lynch Community Center formally known as Klickitat Youth Center @ 92 Main Street - Klickitat WA 98602
Park your car at the Youth Center parking lot - overflow parking available at the Klickitat school across the street.
Online registration includes the option of purchasing a long sleeve shirt or a hooded sweat shirt. THESE WIILL BE AVAILABLE THRU OCTOBER 25TH.
SHUTTLE BUSES
Shuttle buses will be located in front of Youth Center and depart from the Center to start locations - 5K @ 9:45am and Half Marathon @ 10am.
MARATHON
This is an Out and Back Course Starting on the Trail across the street from the Youth Center - START TIME is 8am - Medium Technical (due to rocky areas) - Slow low grade decline the first 13.1 miles of 500' elevation and the return a slow low grade incline of 500' total. There are 7 AID STATIONS on this course at or near miles 4* 7* 10* 13* 16* 19* & 22*. PORTA POTTIES are located near miles 3* 13* & 10. Finish Line is Located in Front of the Youth Center. This is an Amazingly Jaw Dropping Beautiful Scenic Course!!! Ultra signup Registration thru NOVEMBER 1ST = $65 - Same Day Registration = $75
HALF MARATHON
SHUTTLE BUS DEPARTS the Youth Center at 10am and drops off at start location in Lyle WA. This is a Point to Point Course Starting on Mile Marker "0". START TIME is 10:30am. This is a Medium Technical Trail ( due to rocky areas) - Slow grade Incline of 500' over the full Course. There are 3 AID STATIONS on this course at or near miles 3* 6* & 9*. PORTA POTTIES are at Start location as well as near Mile 10. This trail is an incredible scenic path that follows along the BEAUTIFUL KLICKITAT RIVER. There are areas that are rocky as well as areas where you can pick up speed. This path is well marked and mile posts along the way. This course is both for runners and walkers. First aid responders will also be located at 9 mile aid station. Finish Line is located in front of the Youth Center - Online Registration Open Through midnight November 1st = $35. Day of Registration = $45.
5K
This is a Medium Technical Course - For Walkers and Runners - SHUTTLE BUSSES DEPART Youth Center at 9:45am and arrive at start location on trail. RACE START TIME is 10am. There will be PORTA POTTIES on location. This Course runs along the Beautiful Klickitat Trail. Finish Line is located in Front of the Youth Center. It has Rocky areas as well as smooth flat and fast surfaces! Free for kids under 18 on SAME DAY SIGN UP! Registration for adults are = $15 online thru November 1st - same day sign up = $25
AWARDS
ALL RACE FINISHERS will get a FINISHER MEDALLION!!
THERE WILL BE FIRST PLACE AWARDS FOR EACH RACE BOTH MALE AND FEMALE CATEGORIES!
TIMING
Age Categories will be separated and broken down to make and female 19 and under / 20-29 /30-39/ 40-49 / 50-59 / 60-69 / 70-79 / 80-89 / 90-99...

CELEBRATION STARTS AT 11AM and Continue until 3pm! A CELEBRATION AFTER EACH RACE!!!There will be MUSIC - BOOTHS AND HOMEMADE HOT DELICIOUS SOUPS ~ CHILI ~ BREADS AND PASTRIES!!
THERE WILL BE PRIZE DRAWINGS AND ALL AGES ARE ELIGIBLE!
WE HAVE GENEROUS GOODIE BAGS AND LOADS OF AMAZING PRIZES given out by DRAWING AFTER EACH RACE!!
OUR SCHOLARSHIPS WILL BE AWARDED - ONE PER RACE! Our 2019 LONG SLEEVE COTTON T-SHIRTS and HOODED SWEATSHIRTS are AVAILABLE ON ULTRASIGNUP REGISTRATION CHECK-OUT PURCHASE OPTION

This year we will be giving out THREE $500 Scholarships to The winners' Accredited College or Trade School 😃😃
Here’s How it Works ;
1) MUST SIGN UP AND COMPLETE either The 7th Annual 2019 Klickitat Trail Run Marathon, Half Marathon OR 5K!! ONE SCHOLARSHIP GIVEN OUT PER RACE!! ****NON TRANSFERABLE*****
2) ENTER "Special Scholarship Entry" located at sign-in station.
3) EARN EXTRA ENTRIES by correctly answering TRIVIA QUESTIONS (Trivia questions given out at Aid Stations for Marathon and Half Only).
4) Ages 17 - 100 may enter.
5) MUST BE ENROLLED in either an ACCREDITED COLLEGE or ACCREDITED TRADE SCHOOL by October 1st 2020.
6) SCHOLARSHIP IS NOT TRANSFERRABLE, HOWEVER IT MAY BE GIVEN FROM PARENT TO THIER CHILD STUDENT - MUST SHOW PROOF BY VALID IDENTIFICATION
7) There will be THREE Winners TOTAL.
8) Winners will be announced by DJ at END-OF-RACE FESTIVITIES PROCEEDING EACH RACE!!!
DROP BOX
There will be A BOX AT the HALF MARATHON START LOCATION. The box WILL BE BROUGHT back to the community center and LOCATED NEAR the DJ who will be jammin! You are responsible to pick up your things. If you happen to be so delirious from good times and forget your things, they will be auctioned off to the highest bidder or donated to charity.
