 36TH ANNUAL
ANGELES CREST 100 MILE ENDURANCE RUN

View the Waitlist
The Angeles Crest 100 Mile Endurance Run has been held since 1986 and is one of the original five 100-mile endurance runs in the United States. Traditionally run point-to-point through the San Gabriel Mountains, the course has evolved over the years in response to trail conditions, closures, fires, and safety considerations while remaining rooted in the rugged terrain and history of Angeles Crest.

The 36th Annual AC100 will take place October 3, 2026, on a modified 100-mile course through the San Gabriel Mountains. Runners will encounter steep climbs, rocky trails, remote backcountry, and approximately 100 miles of demanding mountain terrain. AC100 is not easy, but every finisher knows the journey is worth it.

The training runs and trail workdays leading up to race day are an important part of the AC100 experience, giving runners an opportunity to prepare, build friendships, and give back to the trails. Preparing physically and mentally for AC100 is essential, but so is taking time to appreciate the San Gabriel Mountains and the unique experience of traveling through them on foot.

For those ready to take on the challenge, the 36th Annual Angeles Crest 100 Mile Endurance Run will be held October 3, 2026.

Course

course

AC100 is one of the first five 100-mile endurance runs in the United States. As of November 2022, there are 217 100-mile races. AC100 is one of only six point-to-point 100 milers. The first edition was held in 1986. Since then, the course has remained mostly consistent. The original finish line was the Rose Bowl in Pasadena through 1991. In 2008 the finish line was moved to Loma Alta Park, in Altadena.

2026 course changes

Due to current road and trail closures and the effects of recent fires, the 2026 AC100 will use a new 100.8-mile loop course starting and finishing at Loma Alta Park in Altadena.

Runners will travel through Clear Creek, Josephine Peak, Red Box, Newcomb, Shortcut and Chilao before reaching Mt. Hillyer. The course then returns through Chilao, Shortcut and Newcomb before continuing through Chantry Flats, Mt. Wilson, Sam Merrill and Millard to the finish at Loma Alta Park.
