Congratulations!

Congratulations to all those that finished. Congratulations to those that got as far as they could.

I want to send my personal gratitude to those volunteers that stepped up to go above and beyond their assigned volunteer duties to make sure our runners were safe. So many to name and so many more I am sure I will learn about over the next few hours and days.

What just took place this past weekend is nothing any of us have ever experienced before. I am truly sorry that some of your Headlands journeys were paused or cut short. Let’s get you to the finish line.

For the Saturday 100M starters, I am sorry the Trail Gods did not allow for your full event to take place. Clearly the 7-10 hours taken away from your time limit due to the event being postponed for the Saturday night cost some of you a finish. For all of those that can, especially our locals, please reenter the course where you left it and complete your 100M.
Get a crew to help you complete your event, send me proof with gps data and photos of you and I will gladly give you a time and send you a buckle.

For all other runners impacted by the outside forces, please let’s get you back on course and to the finish line. I have plenty of medals and swag to give away.

On a much more positive note, I am proud to announce our new partner, and one of my best friends, Chef Yaku Moton-Spruill and his wife Judith along with kids Angel and Brooklyn are new partners and owners of Pacific Coast Trail Runs. We’ve got bigger plans and more experiences ahead for you all. Please join my wife Jennifer, and I and in welcoming the Spruill’s to our trail and ultra running family as new leaders to create a more diverse and equitable community for all.

As we wake up to a new week, push though one more step.

Be finished, not tired.
Be you.
Be your best.
Be better the next time.
