update 9/22/20
Hello Everyone, I sure do miss seeing each and every one of you! I have been holding out hope that we would get to have our 2-Day Back to Back Liberty Lake Race on October 17 & 18. Unfortunately I just spoke with Spokane County Parks and they do not want to issue our race permit for this event. Trust me when I say that Kelly and I are just as disappointed as you are!
With that sad news, we have decided to hold this years Liberty Lake Race as a virtual run using the Radius App. Not only will your previous race entry get you into the virtual event, but you will also receive 50% off of next years race entry. I really think that you will enjoy using the Raduis.fit App, and in order to be counted in the virtual race results you will need to download the app. We will also be mailing t-shirts to everyone who participates in this years virtual event.
Here is a little preview of the app

All runners who have signed up for the Liberty Lake event will receive an email through Ultrasignup. The email will include links to the Radius timing app that we have talked about. In this newsletter I have also posted links to the app for Google and Apple Stores. Please download this free app before the event and feel free to play around and become familiar with it prior to the event. The Liberty Lake course will be loaded on the app but you will not receive the race code until 10/16/20 via ultrasignup email. . You will have over a week (10/17/20-10/25/20) to complete the course, and you can run the course in either direction.

* Please note that you need to make sure your phone is NOT on airplane mode while using the app. You also need to make sure that the app will run in the background, cellular data is turned on and allow location while using.
EVENT
8th Annual
*** This event has sold out every year! We are only offering early registration until 2/1/20***
Liberty Lake trail is an 8-mile loop located near Liberty Lake, Washington that features waterfalls, a creek bed, bridges, single track, and switchbacks with canopied cedar groves. The start and finish are an out and back, runners will hit the trail clockwise this year, the first 1.5 miles are mostly flat with double and single track. Then you will start the gentle climb up to the cedar grove where the trail goes vertical, passing waterfalls along the way and topping out at the only aid station on the course at mile 4. That was the easy part, prepare yourself for the fast quad burning descent down "Edith" and pray your legs will still hold you up for the final 1.5 relatively flat miles back to the finish. The Boy Scout cabin (mile 4) is a well-stocked aid station with gels, chips, water, Nuun, and cookies. This trail run is rated as difficult. Post-race party includes a pancake feed with sausage and typical post-race refreshments :)
