Course
The race consists of multiple laps of a USATF-certified 1.00 mile path in Decatur, Alabama’s Delano Park. Aid will be available on each lap. The partially tree-lined course is flat with total elevation change of less than 15 feet per lap and is completely unpaved. The average high temperature is 60F and average low is 40F. Sometimes it rains all day, it has snowed, and it can get kinda warm, be prepared for anything. There is plenty of room in the park along the course route for you to set up a base camp on the Friday before or on race morning. There are permanent bathrooms and there will be extra port-a-potties at trail side.
Late Late Registrations
If we don't fill up the individual 12 Hour and 50 mile divisions pre-race, we will be taking late registrations at packet pickup on Friday night (5:30-7pm at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 801 Jackson St SE, Decatur, AL 35601)> for individual 12 Hour and 50 mile runners. You will not be guaranteed a shirt or personalized plaque but you can still join in the fun and be an official runner.

Personalized Finisher Plaques
Registered runners names and relay team names go to the awards maker on Monday 2/24. Register by 6am Monday morning to guarantee you get a plaque with your name or team name on it.
Relay Registration
Relay team can be 2, 3 or 4 persons. The Team Captain needs to register first, pay for themselves and give the team a name. Other team members can then register and pay for themselves to join the team. Each relay team member will get a plaque with their name on it to show their individual mile total and each team will get one plaque with the team name on it to show the teams total miles.
Packet Pickup & Pre Race Dinner
Friday evening from 5:30-7:00pm, Westminster Presbyterian Church, 801 Jackson St SE, Decatur ,AL 35601. We have a great carb loading dinner for a $5 donation to our Race Charity Sponsor, Center for Developmentally Disabled of North Central Alabama. I will email registrants close to race day to get a head count for the meal.

Race day packet pickup will be at Delano Park beginning at 5am. It will be a self serve packet pickup. Your name will be on the race bag and everything you need will be in the bag. If you are picking up a swag bag for an entrant that won't be participating, please return the shoe timing chip to the the timing trailer.
Awards
In the 12 Hour Run, awards based on highest mileage will be awarded for the top 3 places overall, masters winners, and grandmasters winners. Relay awards based on mileage will be given to the top team. Final rankings will be determined by the time the final lap is finished. (No partial laps. Laps finished after 6:00 pm will not count)
In the 50 mile event, awards based on time will be given to the first male and female individuals. Please plan to stay for the awards dinner 6:30-8pm (Awards at 7pm) at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 801 Jackson St SE, Decatur, AL 35601. 50 mile winners can get their award at race site if needed.
Schwag
Each participant will receive a personalized plaque with the total mileage completed and your name, a race T-Shirt, and other race schwag. We will make every attempt to capture each and every mile split for every participant in the event. If this year will be your 10th year of participation, please email me that info ASAP so I can get your 10 Year Vest ordered in time. (jklca5@att.net)
