OVERVIEW / REGISTRATION

The 18th Annual Fall 50 will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2024, and runs through the beautiful fall colors and charming villages of Door County, Wisconsin, from Gills Rock to Sturgeon Bay. This is a point-to-point road ultra that offers rolling hills, scenic views, and the potential for a 50-mile PR! An epic after party waits for you at the finish line. Don't miss out! Registration opens Monday, April 1, 2024.

Please note: The Fall 50 also comprises a Relay Division. For more information on that, as well as the Solo, go to our website: www.fall50.com.

SHUTTLE to START

Solo runners have the option to take coach buses to the start line for $15. The buses will arrive to Sunset Park at 4:30 am and depart at 4:45 am. They will then stop at Stone Harbor Resort parking lot at 4:50 am and depart promptly at 5:00 am on race morning. The shuttle will arrive to the start line at Gills Rock by 6:00 am, well before the 6:30 am start time. A member of the Fall 50 staff will have a manifest listing the passengers. Please note that this is a ONE WAY shuttle so non-runners (family/friends) and relay teams are not allowed on the solo bus.

START / COURSE CUTOFF

Solo runners have 12 hours to complete the Solo Event. The race will start at 6:30 a.m., and runners must finish by 6:30 p.m. to be considered an official finisher. That means runners must maintain a 14:20 per mile pace for the 50.2 miles.
CUTOFFS: Runners MUST arrive to Exchange 5 (mile 29) by 1:25PM and Exchange 8 (mile 43) by 4:45PM.

AID STATIONS

Every station will have a dedicated Solo Runners Only tent with food and fluids. Items will include water, Gatorade, Coke, pretzels, oranges, bananas, apples, bagels, chocolate chip cookies, M&M’s, Jolly Ranchers, Clif Mini Bars, and Hammer Gels.
In addition, Exchange #5 will offer the “Half Way Buffet” with hot chicken noodle soup (or chicken broth), PB&J sandwiches, and snacks in addition to the items listed above.

HEADLAMPS

Sunrise will be at 7:11 a.m. on race day, with civil twilight beginning at 6:41 a.m., so you will be required to have either a headlamp or flashlight for the first 30 minutes of the race. If desired, you will be able to drop off your light at mile 5.4 (Exchange 1). We will have a box marked for that purpose. Make sure to have your headlamp/flashlight labeled with your name and bib number before placing it in the box.
Sunset is at 5:53 p.m. and civil twilight ends at 6:24 p.m. Make sure you have a headlamp for the final miles if you will be near the 6:30p.m. cutoff.
You will be able to pick up your headlamp/flashlight under the Solo Finisher tent when you are done.

CREW

We do allow participants to have friends and family supporting them along the route. They can cheer you on; hand out food, beverage, or clothing; and take possession of any items you drop or hand off but ONLY IN THE AID STATION AREAS. Aid given outside of the aid stations areas is strictly prohibited.

NO PACERS ALLOWED!

NO pacers are allowed. Friends and family may not run, walk, or bike with you on the course. They may not give you any aid between aid stations. This is cause for runner disqualification!

SOLO FINISHER TENT and PARTY

SOLO FINISHER TENT:
We are very excited again to offer a Solo Runner Finisher tent again this year. It will be located immediately after the finish chute. This heated tent will include: hot soup, light snacks, changing rooms, porta-potty and a nice place to sit and collect yourself after the race before heading in to the main party tent. This will also be a convenient place for your family and friends to locate you immediately after the event. Family and friends are welcome inside the Solo Finisher tent with you!

PARTY TENT:
After you are changed and ready to party, head over to the large party tent and join the relay finishers. The party tent will have all-you-can-enjoy pizza, beer, wine, and soda, as well as a DJ, dance floor, team costume and name contests, and more! This is free for each participant. Family and friends may join you under the party tent for a cover charge payable at the entrance.

AWARDS / SWAG

Solo runners will receive their Finisher medal and winter beanie at the finish line.

SOLO AWARDS:
The Fall 50 will offer awards to the TOP 5 MEN and TOP 5 WOMEN in the Open Division (age 39 and under) and Masters Division (age 40 and over) in the solo event.
