This is a Virtual Trail Run – Fall 2020

Thank everyone for your interest in running Chino Hills this year! The California State Parks are not yet allowing to issue special events permits, and while it may be that by the time November rolls around, the running event would be allowed, there would not be sufficient time for the race, volunteers, and runners to adequately prepare. So, the race is going Virtual for November 2020. Wish you all the best in running and in life, and hope to see you in person at a future event!

Runners will be able to submit proof of completion of the distance you register between October 1 ~ November 30, 2020.

Special Edition of the Medal will be giving to those: 1) Finish the registered distance in one Run anywhere, or 2) Finish the distance in one or more runs anywhere inside of Chino Hill State Park (Currently is OPEN again after the recent "Blue Ridge Fire").

Runner shirts, medals and swag will be shipped to the runner's registration address after the run record uploaded.

We have made every effort to keep costs down for this virtual event, but it is important to us that we are able to continue to donate to Chino Hill State Park despite the cost of shirts, medals and the shipping (Sorry, No International mailing). Runners resident in Southern California may arrange pickup of their runner goodies at a reduced entry fee, if desired. Please use the $10 discount code “pickup” at checkout (location and hours TBD)

Description

The Chino Hills Spring Trail Series is a perfect way to take the first step into the exciting world of trail running. Join us and explore one of Orange County's premier natural open-space parks while you discover the trail runner in you. If you're already a seasoned trail runner, the Chino Hills Spring Trail Series is a great way to step up in distance and aim for your first trail marathon or 50K. The series kicks off with a 10k race, a standard road distance but with natural beauty all around. You'll see for yourself why trail running is one of the fastest growing sports. Trails offer so much more than asphalt and you're bound to be hooked. Later in the spring you'll be looking forward to tackling the 10 mile loop. Still want more? You only have to wait a few more weeks. The hilly 15 miler will take you deeper into the park. If that's not enough, just wait a bit and you'll get a chance to run 20 miles on these amazing trails. And that's perfect preparation for the trail marathon just a few weeks later. But the fun doesn't stop there. The series finale is a challenging 50K ultramarathon that will give ample opportunity to test your trail legs while enjoying the wildlife and native plants that abound in this beautiful park
