Dear Lake Sonoma 50 Miler and Lake Sonoma 100K Runners,

We hope you all have been safe, healthy and out running the trails. On Valentine’s weekend or what we call “Trail LOVE Weekend” here is an update on where things stand for the Lake Sonoma 50 on Saturday April 10, 2021 and Lake Sonoma 100K on Sunday April 11, 2021. Sonoma County, the City of Healdsburg and our ultra community really loves putting on the Lake Sonoma Races. So many amazing pre and post run activities, outstanding volunteers, finish line celebrations with music, food partners, local beer, award winning wine along with stellar schwag for finishing from our generous sponsors. As optimists, we have good news and bad news!

After months of working with the Army Corps of Engineers, our State and Sonoma County officials and the City of Healdsburg — we will not be able to hold the Lake Sonoma 50 or 100K in April. The Races take place in Sonoma County, which is currently under the “PURPLE TIER” which does not allow for gatherings or group events of more than 3 families. The good news is we will be holding the LS Race Series this Labor Day Weekend 2021!

Lake Sonoma 50 Miler, Saturday September 4, 2021
Registered and wait list runners will be rolled over automatically to the September race, and in order to be flexible during these trying times your 2020 rollover does not expire, which means you can defer to 2022 or beyond.

Lake Sonoma 100K, Sunday September 5, 2021
Registered runners will not be charged until 60 days before the race when you will receive an email asking you to confirm your registration (you currently show up as “wait list” on UltraSignup). When you confirm, your credit card will be charged, if not you will simply be dropped off the wait list without charge.

The fire damaged trails have been cleared, the Covid protocols in place and the Children of the Vineyard Workers Scholarship Fund is going to be in good shape this fall thanks to your registration fees for the Lake Sonoma Series Races.

See you in Wine Country very soon!
