Course Summary
The Dam Good Run is a unique opportunity to run across the New Waddell Dam. Aravaipa Running, in partnership with Lake Pleasant Regional Park, brings you this 18th Annual run, walk & hike. All events except the 2 mile will cross the dam right away. The 26 kilometer and 40 kilometer courses will utilize newly constructed trails traversing along the shoreline and above the lake. The 40 kilometer course climbs to the top of Yavapai Point with incredible lake views. If you are lucky you may get the opportunity to spot a Lake Pleasant wild burro or two along the way!
40KM Update: the foot bridge that connects the trail through Pipeline Cove is still out of commission and will require either a short trip in a (guided) raft with a life vest on or you have the option to put on a PFD vest and swim. The stretch is short and takes two minutes or less from putting on your vest, loading, and crossing. You will cross this Cove twice during your 40Km.
Race Information
Anything else you may need to know is located on our Dam Good Run website! Information on the website includes: course maps, aid station chart, pacer & crew information, race perks, and more.
Race entries are non-refundable and non-transferable. For other options, please check out our Race Withdrawal Policy.
Cupless Events
In an effort to continually lessen our race footprint, we are expanding our cupless events to the Desert Runner Trail Series. We will have UltrAspire reusable cups available at registration and on race day or feel free to bring your own!
Volunteers
We cannot produce these trail runs without the help of our amazing volunteer team. You can even help and run on race day. If you would like to join our volunteer team, we are looking for help with event setup, aid station captains, aid station helpers, timing, and event breakdown. Volunteer perks include a piece of Aravaipa merchandise or race goody and Aravaipa Race Credits. You can see our current opportunities and signup here: Dam Good Run Volunteer Form
