Cap off 2023 with an awesome race on NE Florida's best trail
Join us on December 9th 2023 on the Pioneer Trail in Jennings State Forest to cap of your 2023 trail racing season with a great race on one of the best trails in Florida. We're offering runners the chance to take on Pioneer with a 10k, 25k and 50k option to give runners of all experience levels a chance to experience the awesome natural beauty and unique challenge of the Pioneer Trail.
We're minimalists and are passionate about the natural beauty and rustic Appalachian Trail inspired signage, entry arches and amenities on the course. This truly is a race run by trail runners for trail runners and we're looking to deliver an awesome experience that will leave you wanting to come back to our playground at Pioneer Trail again and again.
Race proceeds benefit the Friends of Jennings State Forest - a 501c3 charity set up to support trail work and maintenance in Jennings State Forest.

COVID-19 Precautions
Sadly COVID-19 is still a concern and we ask that the following precautions be observed.
-If you are sick, please do not show up to run. We'll happily offer refunds or deferrals if you're feeling ill.
-Runners will fill their own bottles, cups or hydration bladders and volunteers will sanitize the spigots of the coolers.
Cup-Free Race
In order to keep the Jennings State Forest clean, this will be a cup-free race. Runners will need a hand bottle or hydration vest/pack with collapsible bottles or bladder or can take a collapsible cup provided by our sponsor Tailwind Nutrition with them on the course.
Water and Tailwind will be provided at aid stations along with some snacks for the 50k runners at Aid Station 3 at Padgett Cemetery just past Indian Ford on Hattie Nolan Road.
What about the Swag?
Runners who registered before the medal cutoff will receive a finishers medal and race shirt. This year's we're offering the choice of men's or women's shirts and will post more details on style as we get closer to race day. If you're not into race shirts, we can also donate the shirt portion of your registration to the Friends of Jennings State Forest who do all the trail building and maintenance. Top finishers at each distance will receive a top finishers' trophy/plaque.
Drop Bags - 50k
50k runners can drop a single gallon sized ziplock bag that they will have access to at the turn around at Indian Ford aid station. Please write your name and bib number on your bag. Bags will be thrown away post-race so please only include items you do not need to have returned.
