Event Description

There are several trails that will be used such the 601, McCullough Hills, and Amargosa. These routes we created are adventurous, gorgeous, challenging, and TRASHY! HAVE NO FEAR...our races are wild and crazy for all our runners, loud music, high energy volunteers, and memories for a lifetime!
TRASH those trail legs in this awesome terrain. These trails have wide groomed trails and challenging single-track and the view are spectacular of Las Vegas, Henderson, mountains, valleys, and ravines!

50k Relay

This is NOT the same course as the solo 50K. The 50k Relay is approx. 32.4 miles and 5.4 miles per lap. You can have a team of up to 6 people, dividing the loops however you chose but the entirety of the loop needs to be completed by the same person. The staging area is where you will set up your tent, peeps, and transfer your runners in and out. You will all share the same bib.

Food

We keep our marathon runners and ultra runners well fed at every race (all other distances, we also love you and will have snacks). We will have hot food for you at the staging area and hub aid station. We typically grill burgers and dogs, serve hot pasta and/or casseroles and we also take care of our vegetarians/vegans. There will be a variety of salty snacks out on the course and at the staging area.

Virtual Runners

We think it is awesome that you are running with us even though you won't be here in person, but in spirit! If you would like your time added to our website, please email your official time to aubrey@tripledareruns, within a week of the race (i.e. Garmin). All virtual runners will be mailed a shirt and a medal within two weeks after the race. Thank you for running with us and keep up the hard work!

Remembering Darrell Henry 1970-2016

"Darrell started running about 20 years ago because he was overweight, out of shape, and beginning to have health problems. It was a chore, but it became an addiction and his passion. He was diagnosed with cancer and Familial Adenomatous Polyposis in 2012. He had numerous procedures and surgeries following his diagnosis and each time he would ask his doctor how soon it would be before he could run again. Running kept him motivated, sane, and happy – not to mention tolerable to all those around him! He ran every day that he was able to and even on days that he had chemo. He ran on days that he was carrying a chemo infusion pack on his back. He ran for endurance, not for time. He said running, as well as his life, was about quality over quantity." -Misty Henry

His ashes were carried by his friend, Annette Schultz, as she ran the 2017 "Trail Trashed", his last race. Darrell's ashes were scattered by his family in the Sloan Canyon National Conservation Area after the race, on Sunday, March 5th, 2017. We will miss Darrell. He is gone, but will never be forgotten.
We will always remember you Darrell, as being "CHEW TOY TOUGH!"
