Lost Soul Ultra

320 Scenic Dr S

Lethbridge, AB 100 Mile, 100K, 50K

Registration closes: Tue, Aug 15 @ 11:59PM MT

Event Info

The race is held in the Oldman River valley of Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada. We acknowledge that we are gathered on the lands of the Blackfoot people of the Canadian Plains and shared with the Cree and Metis. Our trails run over one of the last big battles between the Blackfoot and Cree. One lap is new 51 km with approximately 1,100 m (3,600') of elevation change. Most of the hills will be in the range of 50-80m (150-250') in size and you will hit about 14 of those in one lap.

Two events start on Friday morning:
- 100 mile (33-hour cutoff completing 3 laps + initial 9k loop)
- 100 km (21-hour cutoff completing 2 laps.
Note: The 100 km event is a qualifying event for the Western States Endurance Run (WSER). In addition, 100 mile racers can earn a WSER qualification if they finish 2 laps (110 km) under 21 hours AND they must finish 3 laps (100 miles) in 33 hours.

The 51 km event starts on Saturday morning (11-hour cutoff completing one lap).

The toughest race on the prairies (and voted “best aid stations in the universe”) finisher ROCK, and one awards breakfast ticket for Sunday.

Entrants must be at least 18 years of age on race day.
* No Vaccination restrictions or requirements.
Pricing Note: We have added the option for "no banquet ticket" for those that plan to not attend. You can purchase tickets later. We will allow bib transfers this year, but there will be a $15 charge.

New Course (Adjustments)

Headquarters and the Start/Finish will now be at Softball Valley (which was the previous mid-point of the course). We have removed the old "South Loop" Leg 1 and the course is now 5 legs. The new Leg 1 will have you go from Softball Valley, south along the river and at the Highway 3 bridge, you will now cross the bridge to the Westside. This section will be "rain-friendly" and spend most of it on the limestone and shale pathways. Might only be 1 climb in there. (note that last year, we had the 100 milers and 100k runners use most of this route for their start). To finish Leg 1, runners will cross back over the Whoopup bridge to Indian Battle park where we will have the aid station in the Elks Picnic compound (the Coulee Cactus race operates out if this). Leg 2 will have you climb up to the Sandman Signature and continue on the old Leg 2 to Softball valley. These two legs will now be the South Section of the course. The remainder of the course will be the same.

Note that the new course is 50.9 km in length, so it is simple for the 50k and 100k racers. The 100 milers will need to do a "start loop" of 8.5km. This will go south from Softball Valley and at the highway 3 bridge, they will be directed to leg 2 to return back to Softball Valley. Then they start their 3 laps of the course.

100 milers will start at 8:00am Friday and the 100km racers are planned for 8:30am Friday. The 50k will start at the normal time of 7:00am Saturday.

Event's current local time: 1:18 AM MT
