Tooele County Mining Country
Join us in our 3rd year of conquering the hills and mountains where General Patrick Connor and his soldiers staked numerous mining claims in the early 1860's!
The Courses
***Course Update***
Because of excessive amounts of snow in South Fork of Soldier Canyon, Chandler Fork, & Lion Hill Loop of Ophir Canyon, we've created an alternate course - a trail MARATHON! Check it out here (https://www.strava.com/routes/3092332816805400272
Half-Marathon
Starting at an elevation of 5,800 ft, runners will head southeast, up the Bald Mountain Rd, climbing 5.1 miles to the Bald Mountain Loop junction (8,450 ft); next they will ascend the Bald Mountain Loop trail in clockwise direction, climbing another 1.6 miles to Commodore Pass (9,250 ft); after leaving the aid station they will ascend the east face of Bald Mountain West (mile 7 & an overall height of 9,626 ft); runners will then descend the west face of Bald Mountain West, enjoying stunning views of Rush & Tooele Valleys; the Stansbury, Onaqui, and Sheeprock ranges; and the return trip back to the Start/Finish Area. At mile 8.4, you will have rejoined the Bald Mountain Loop trail; after a short 0.1 mile descent, you will turn southwest, back onto the Bald Mountain Rd; you will then descend the road for 3.4 miles where you will experience the love the Race Director has for you! You must turn northwest, deviating from the Bald Mountain Rd, for your final 2-mile descent down a steep, gnarly, technical ATV trail!
The course runs a little long - about 13.8 miles, with ~4,000 ft of vert!

Race Simply
We create our events, especially our courses, to give you a beautiful, challenging, fun experience, racing in the foothills and mountains of Tooele County's Oquirrh Mountains!
Our prices are low - we don't give out gimmicky race entry bags full of clutter you'll never use; we don't hand out finisher's awards that will end up in a drawer somewhere; we don't play thumping music, announce finishers over a PA, or display flashy finish line arches.
The course is where it's at. Each year, we change up the course routes. Always with an eye for scenery and the challenge: what will the runner see as they're flying down technical double-track or as they crest a tough summit climb? Would it be more of a challenge to climb a mild dirt road or a rocky, technical ATV trail? Each of these distances will treat you to challenging trail conditions and beautiful views of the surrounding Oquirrh & Stansbury Mountain Ranges and the Rush & Tooele Valleys.
Our aid stations will help you get to the finish line.
The vibe will be very low-key; but you'll face stiff competition, whichever distance you choose.
The top three men & women in each distance will receive a modest award.
We look forward to having you, and are excited to show off some off the great trails the Oquirrh's have to offer!
