World's Longest Turkey Trot for ALS

In 2013 Scott Kummer and Alfredo Pedro Perro ran from Chicago to Milwaukee for no particular reason. Shortly after he was diagnosed with ALS. IN 2015 Alfredo lost his battle with ALS. To honor Alfredo and raise money for ALS Scotty and his friends have run from Chicago to Milwaukee or vice versa every year.

During COVID we added a virtual event which people loved and we are going to continue it again this year!

The challenge

The traditional Turkey Trot is 100 miles. This year, we are going to attempt to run as many miles as possible between Thanksgiving and midnight on November 26, 2023. Run 100 for Alfredo, or run even more.

The details

The registration fee will pay for your shirt and buckle which will be mailed to you upon completion (of any distance). Any balance will be donated to our cause - the Les Turner ALS Foundation (which cared for Alfredo while he battled ALS).

Fundraising

Please allow this event to serve as a vehicle for raising funds for our charity by posting your runs and miles and asking your friends and supporters to donate. We will have a special direct donation page for the Les Turner ALS Foundation.
