Race description
Join us for the Willow Trail Race, where you can choose a ten-mile or twenty-mile course! The twenty-mile race begins at 7:00 am and consists of two loops through Willow River State Park, while the ten-mile race starts at 8:00 am and consists of one loop. The course will take you on a grass and gravel trail through the beautiful Willow River State Park, with diverse terrains and breathtaking views to keep you motivated throughout the race. Whether an experienced runner or a beginner, this is an excellent opportunity to challenge yourself and experience the park's beauty. We hope to see you there!

The Willow River State Park is roughly 30 to 40 minutes from the eastern Twin Cities area.
Willow River State Park is a nearly 3000-acre park located five miles north of Hudson, Wisconsin. The park's centerpiece is Willow Falls, a mighty cascade into a 200-foot-deep gorge. The falls will beg the runners to stop and take photographs or pause to take in its beauty. Each loop will take you to the far corners of the park to enjoy its many different topographic highlights, forests, grasslands, and panoramic views.
Race day schedule
6:00 am: Registration opens to pick up your bib and race day swag.
7:00 am: 20-miler start
8:00 am: 10-miler start
Aid station
Water, fruit, snacks, and Hammer gels will be available. We ask that you carry a water bottle to keep the park clean and reduce waste.
Delay, suspend, or cancel the event
The race director reserves the right to delay, suspend, or cancel any part of the event if weather conditions deem it dangerous to participants/volunteers or harmful to the course.
